Beautifully filmed documentary. The courage of those waiting for a kidney is inspiring. My hope is that through films like this one more people will donate.

Very well done documentary about the dialysis department at the University of Alberta hospital in Alberta, Canada. There is kidney transplant surgery done here, though, which may freak you out. Shows compelling reasons why you should become an organ donor, no matter what country you live in.

apparently not many people live in Canada and if you state you want to be a donor and then your family can override that is simply not right. My husband waited 2 years for a kidney and was on dialysis. he was born with PKD. Looking back (it has now been 11 years successful) it seemed like a really long time. he was young (54 years of age) and you move up on the list if you are younger. I so related to the young woman who had 11 siblings. I was bitter for many years as my husband had 4 siblings and not one of them came forward. I honestly think people need to be educated on what being a donor is all about, then maybe the fear would be addressed. Well done
